Best Wi-Fi routers for 2020

Hi All,

I am new to the forums and looking for help. I am curious what would be the best router for gaming. I am wired, not wireless, wireless is useless to me as far as competition. I want to deal with bufferbloat and also ping spikes. Not sure how much can be done about either. I currently have Linksys WRT 1900 AC with some success on controlling bufferbloat. It is having power issues and so I am looking to buy new. I have tried the Linksys 3200, the NetGear Nighthawk X10 and Asus AC5300. Flashed DD-WRT to all except the Asus and it still seems I get the best performance out of the Linksys 1900. This is totally possible because of settings I am not doing correctly and lack of knowledge in this area/routers/network. Any help would be appreciated.
